Peter Wong
Managing Director of Aurora Engineering & Management Group
With over 20 years of experience in the engineering field, specializing in design, construction, and commissioning. While still studying, Peter discovered his passion for large infrastructure projects and their role in driving progress and innovation. His international project experience has fueled his enthusiasm for analysing the mechanics of complex systems and anticipating future developments. Peter has held leadership roles in leading international engineering companies and Rail Infrastructure Manager organisations, integrating various disciplines including engineering, operations, maintenance, and safety on large-scale rail infrastructure projects.
In 2021, Peter founded Aurora Engineering and Management Group, focusing on new technologies, innovative ideas, and the future direction of engineering. Dedicated to developing and mentoring the next generation of engineers, Peter ensures that Aurora remains at the forefront of industry standards and innovation.
David Snelling
Director of Signalling At Aurora Engineering & Management Group
Bringing extensive technical expertise and a strong background in engineering management with a career spanning over two decades, David has played pivotal roles in major projects, turnkey projects, and internal Rail Infrastructure Manager projects. During his tenure as the Signalling Engineering Manager at Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), David was responsible for the signalling aspects of the entire MTM network. His role involved maintaining and developing strategies, standards, and processes, as well as overseeing technology planning and production.
. David's deep knowledge of signalling systems, combined with his strategic oversight and technology planning, has consistently driven the success of complex railway projects. As a passionate advocate for developing Signalling Engineers and an active member of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE), David is committed to following industry best practices and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within his team.
